The NW+16 does not apply to:

  1. A Duty Period consisting entirely of a deadhead: or
  2. If the pilot, having been timely notified of the next assignment, did not serve his NW and any portion of the Reserve Period prior to showtime for the departing Duty Period, and the pilot has at least 8 hours free from duty prior to the next assignments showtime (25.M.1.g).

Pilots on R1.5, R2 or R3 must be given at least 3 hours notice prior to the showtime of a base simulator support event.
